School’s Out, Snacks Are In: My Summer Vending Plan!

Hi everyone! It is me, Asmara. I am six years old. I have big news. School is over! I am so happy. I like school. I like to learn. But I love summer. Summer is for fun. Summer is for sun.

I am a boss. I own a big business. It is called Asmara’s Snacks & Other Things. You can see my logo here:

Now that school is done, I have a plan. I have a summer plan. I will go to camp. Camp is fun! I will run. I will play. I will see my friends. But I will still work. I am a part-time boss now. That means I work some of the time. I work between my camp days.

I Love My Machines

I have many vending machines. They are very big. They are very bright. I have machines for snacks. I have machines for beauty. My machines live in big buildings. Some are in malls. Some are at colleges. People like my machines. They make people smile.

When school ends, I have to get ready. The sun is hot. People get thirsty. They want cold drinks. I have to fill my machines. I put in lots of water. Water is good for you. It keeps you cool. I also put in blue drinks. They are for sports. They are very cold.

Filling Up the Snacks

I also love snacks. Do you like snacks? I like crunchy chips. I like sweet cookies. I like fruit snacks too. In the summer, people want light snacks. They want snacks for the beach. They want snacks for the park.

I go to my machines. I open the door. I put the bags in. They fit in a little circle. The circle spins. The snack falls down. It goes clink. That is a happy sound! I make sure all the snacks are fresh. I want everyone to have a yummy treat. You can read more about my snacks on my blog.

Pretty Beauty Stuff

My business is not just snacks. It is other things too! I have a Glam Up Machine. It is so pretty. It has things to make you look nice. It has lip gloss. The lip gloss is very shiny. It has eyelashes too. The eyelashes are long and fun.

Girls like to look pretty in the summer. They go to parties. They go to the mall. They see my machine. They get a pink lip gloss. It makes them happy. I like making people happy. You can see my Glam Up Machine post here.

Working at the Mall

I like the mall. The mall is big. It has many stores. My machines are there too. I go to the mall with my Mom and Dad. They help me. They are my team. We look at the machines. We see if they are empty. If they are empty, we fill them up.

I am a kid entrepreneur. That is a big word. It means I have a business. Businesses like to have my machines. Malls like me. Schools like me. I help them give people what they need. If you want a machine, you can contact us.

Balancing Camp and Work

Summer is a busy time. I go to camp in the morning. I swim in the pool. The water is blue. I splash my friends. Then I eat my lunch. After camp, I think about my business.

I ask Mom, "Do the machines need more chips?" Mom says, "Yes, Asmara. Let’s go!"

We drive in the car. We bring boxes. The boxes are heavy. But I am strong. I help carry the light ones. I help push the buttons. I check the money. It is fun to be a boss.

I am learning a lot. I learn how to count. I learn how to talk to people. I learn how to be a leader. You can read our story to see how I started. I was only five! Now I am six. I am growing up.

Why Summer Vending is Great

Summer is the best time for vending. Here is why:

1. People are out. They walk around. They get hungry.

2. It is hot. Everyone needs a cold water or juice.

I make sure my machines have the best things. I pick the colors. I pick the flavors. I want my machines to be the best in the world.

My Big Goal

My goal is to have many machines. I want them everywhere. I want them in every mall. I want them in every school. I want to help other kids too. Being a kid boss is great. You can do it too!
